Lucy is 22 years old, grew up in Sydney, spending time in the school holidays at her grandparents property "Westvale" Wollun, just out of Uralla, NSW.
Her life has always been surrounded by sheep and wool talk.

Lucy was a creative child and when it came to choosing HSC subjects chose electives Art, Textiles and Drama. Lucy is determined and independent.
Her HSC art and textiles projects were chosen for ArtExpress and Texstyles Exhibitions.

Lucy entered garments in the Australian Wool Fashion Awards in 2012 and 2013 and was awarded runner up in the evening wear section.

Lucy is in her 4th and final year at the University of Technology at Sydney (2015) studying Fashion and Textiles. Her portfolio of print designs won her the 2015 UTS Print Scholarship from a small company called "Think Positive Printing" based in Alexandria, Sydney. This scholarship is offered to fashion and textiles honours students to assist the production of their final collection.

Lucy prefers to design and to print on wool because of the drape and quality of natural fibre. Her frustration at times is the limited range of wool textiles commercially available in Australia.

The wool charne fabric used in her garments entered in the 2015 Australian Wool Fashion Awards was purchased from Leon Martin, Charmac Merino Stud, Lavington, NSW. Leon has developed three new fabrics from wool grown on is property.

Lucy hopes to develop her career in fashion design using wool in diverse and creative ways.
